Deva Week 1 Box Office Collection Prediction: Shahid Kapoor has been grabbing a lot of eyeballs lately for his recent release Deva. The action drama is helmed by Rosshan Andrrews and also features Pavail Gulati, Pooja Hegde, Pravesh Rana, Kubbra Sait etc. It has been one of the most anticipated releases of the year and marks Shahid's first release of 2025. Starring Shahid as a hot headed, brave cop Dev Ambre, Deva has been witnessing frequent comparisons with Kabir Singh and the trailer has got the audience quite intrigued.

Interestingly, Deva happens to be the Bollywood adaptation of the 2013 release Mumbai Police starring Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead. Interestingly, Deva marks Malayalam filmmaker Rosshan Andrrews debut in Bollywood and also marks Shahid's first collaboration with Pooja Hegde. While their sizzling chemistry and peppy songs did manage to create a lot of buzz. However, Deva has failed to live up to the expectation.

Deva Week 1 Box Office Collection Prediction

After a slow start at the box office, Deva was seen struggling during the opening week and will fail to touch Rs 50 crores in week 1. In an exclusive conversation with Filmibeat, Deva is expected to mint Rs 28-30 crores in its opening week at the box office.

Deva vs Padmaavat Box Office Collection

Interestingly, Deva's opening week collection will be over 400% less than Shahid's 2018 release Padmaavat. For the uninitiated, Padmaavat had made a collection of Rs 155.5 crores at the box office in the first week of release.

With a collection of Rs 6.4 crores and Rs 7.15 crores during the weekend, Deva's opening weekend collection stands at Rs 13.55 crores.

Meanwhile, talking about his physical transformation for Deva, Shahid told Zoom, "So, what I wanted to do with this character was, I didn't want to make him metrosexual, chiseled-no. I felt like he should look very rugged. In my head, I always thought he should be like a bulldog. "They're these broad-shouldered, stout beings. They don't have much hair, and they look tough. Aise lagta hai na, maar denge aise. Mera feeling wahi tha ki he should be this tough guy. They're raw, and they look strong. Jisko dekhke lagega, isse panga maat lo. Isse dur raho. Toh mujhe thoda woh vibe chahiye tha".
