According to a report published in Sacnilk, Deva has been going slow and steady at the worldwide box office. The movie saw a hike during the weekend and recorded an overseas collection of 2.6 crores on day 3 (first Sunday) and the overall overseas collection after the opening weekend happens to be Rs 9 crores.

The report further suggested that Deva earned Rs 32 crores at the worldwide box office after the opening weekend. It will be interesting to see if Deva will manage to pick up pace in the coming days.

Meanwhile, talking about his physical transformation for Deva, Shahid told Zoom, "So, what I wanted to do with this character was, I didn't want to make him metrosexual, chiseled-no. I felt like he should look very rugged. In my head, I always thought he should be like a bulldog. "They're these broad-shouldered, stout beings. They don't have much hair, and they look tough. Aise lagta hai na, maar denge aise. Mera feeling wahi tha ki he should be this tough guy. They're raw, and they look strong. Jisko dekhke lagega, isse panga maat lo. Isse dur raho. Toh mujhe thoda woh vibe chahiye tha".
