Amid heavy scrutiny and narrative chatter, Dhurandhar finally made it to the cinemas across India today. Headlined by Ranveer Singh, the latest patriotic flick also boasts of a strong ensemble including names like R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna and Arjun Rampal. 20-year-old Sara Arjun plays Ranveer's onscreen ladylove in this movie.

Mounted on such a huge scale, Dhurandhar has allegedly been made on a whopping budget of Rs 285 cr, as per trade expert Rohit Jaiswal. According to an OTTPlay report, Dhurandhar makers brought Netflix on board as the movie's official digital streaming partner. If the report turns out to be true, Dhurandhar will have its OTT premiere on Netflix after concluding its theatrical run.

Ranbir Kapoor's Animal (2023) stormed the box office with a massive Day 1 earnings of ₹63.8 crore (Hindi: ₹54.75 crore), according to Sacnilk. And while Dhurandhar has opened on a positive note, matching the explosive opening of Animal seems highly unlikely for the Ranveer Singh-starrer.
