Dhurandhar Box Office Collection Day 1: Ranveer Singh's Film SMASHES Sixer, Beats Padmaavat With Huge Margin

Dhurandhar Box Office Collection Day 1: Dhurandhar has opened with strong numbers at the box office on the opening day. The film marks Aditya Dhar’s return to direction after six years, and the solid numbers have proved that he knows his craft well. Early trade signals suggested solid audience interest for the geopolitical thriller, driven by the subject and large-scale canvas. While initial reports expected the film to garner Rs 17-18 crore on the first day, the figures have touched the Rs 25 crore-plus mark. Yes, you read that right!
The film places Ranveer Singh in the central role, marking the first collaboration between him and Aditya Dhar. The cast also includes Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi. Their combined presence positions Dhurandhar as a major theatrical offering for the year.
What Worked For Dhurandhar At Box Office?
Positioned as a big-ticket spy thriller, Dhurandhar promised a roller coaster ride through espionage, covert operations, and moral conflict. The audience was keen to see whether the scale and suspense match the pre-release chatter, and the makers surpassed the expectations.
The film has been designed as the opening chapter of a planned two-part franchise. The film runs for more than three hours, presenting an extended, high-energy narrative that blends action, intrigue, and emotional strain within a large-scale espionage story rooted in contemporary regional tensions. Despite the longer duration, the movie managed to set the cash registers jingling.

Ranveer Singh anchored the story in what is being described as one of the darkest roles of the actor's career. The Bajirao Mastani actor played a ruthless RAW operative, feared across borders and known by the chilling alias "The Wrath of God."
