How Dhurandhar Beat Pushpa 2's '200 Crore' Record?

Adity Dhar's directorial re-wrote Hindi box office records, as second Tuesday numbers surpassed the expectations. Day 12 earnings on a working weekday for an A-certified release show demand remains strong for the film.

The Hindi version has become the first film to cross ₹200 crore in Week 2. Dhurandhar achieved this figure within five days of the second week, from Friday to Tuesday, while Pushpa2, collected ₹199 crore in seven days, from Friday to Thursday. Ranveer Singh's film managed to beat Allu Arjun's film, setting a new benchmark.

As per Sacnilk, Dhurandhar showed a clear jump in audience turnout during day 13 evening shows. The film logged an evening occupancy of 41.77%, which is almost double Pushpa 2's 24.52% on the same day, indicating a stronger pull with viewers for the movie at this stage.

Dhurandhar also outperformed Chhaava on the thirtheenth day. While Vicky Kaushal's film had reported around 36.42% occupancy on its thirteenth day evenings, Dhurandhar went higher. The improved trend suggests the thriller is still gaining walk-ins, rather than slipping after the initial buzz.

According to Sacnilk's latest report, Dhurandhar earned Rs 25.50 crore on the second Wednesday (December 17), taking the total collection to Rs 437.25 Cr. There's a slight difference between Sacnilk and Taran Adarsh's box office collection.

While the film is expected to cross Rs 450 crore on Thursday (December 18), as per Sacnilk, it has already crossed Rs 440 crore, according to Taran Adarsh.

Dhurandhar is written and directed by Aditya Dhar and had strong pre-release interest. The film stars Ranveer Singh alongside Sara Arjun, R Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal and Sanjay Dutt.
