Dhurandhar Box Office Collection Day 2: Did Ranveer Singh’s Film Beat Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal On 1st Saturday?

Dhurandhar Box Office Collection Day 2: Ranveer Singh and Aditya Dhar collaborated for the first time for Dhurandhar and the fans couldn't keep calm. The movie has been a spy action thriller and is written and directed by Aditya Dhar. Interestingly, Dhurandhar marks Aditya's return to direction after six years post Vicky Kaushal's Uri: The Surgical Strike. Touted to be one of the most anticipated releases of the year, Dhurandhar came with a stellar cast of Ranveer, Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Rakesh Bedi, Sara Arjun, Sanjay Dutt and Arjun Rampal in the lead.

To note, Dhurandhar marks Ranveer's return to the big screen with a full fledged movie after a gap of 2 years. He was last seen in 2023 release Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani followed by a cameo in Singham Again. Interestingly, Dhurandhar is said to be inspired by the real-life incidents, geopolitical conflicts, and covert operations of India's intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW) with local gangs and crime syndicates in the Lyari area of Karachi, Pakistan. While the movie has managed to create a massive buzz in the town with its stellar cast, plot and songs, Dhurandhar did witnessed a stupendous opening and emerged as Ranveer's highest opener

After minting Rs 27cr on day 1, Dhurandhar saw a hike of 14.81% in numbers on day 2 (first Saturday) and earned Rs 31cr. This took the overall collection of the movie to Rs 58cr.

Dhurandhar Fails To Beat Animal On Day 2

While Dhurandhar has been facig comparisons with Ranbir Kapoor's Animal, this Ranveer Singh starrer failed to beat the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial with a huge gap. In fact Dhurandhar minted almost half of Animal's day 2 (first Saturday) collection which happens to be Rs 58.37cr in Hindi market

Dhurandhar Box Office Collection Day 3 Prediction

Given the strong buzz around Dhurandhar, the movie is expected to witness a hike in numbers at the box office today (day 3/ first Sunday). The movie is likely to mint around Rs 35cr and the overall collection of Dhurandhar is expected to inch closer to Rs 100cr.
