Trade portal Sacnilk reported that Dhurandhar collected Rs 27cr on day one in India. This figure placed the film as the third highest opener of 2025, behind Chhaava and War 2, while moving ahead of Salman Khan’s Sikandar in the current yearly ranking.

Film Opening day collection (India) Record noted
Dhurandhar Rs 27cr Third highest opener of 2025
Padmaavat Rs 24cr Previous highest opener for Ranveer Singh
Uri: The Surgical Strike Rs 8.20cr Previous highest opener for Aditya Dhar

Dhurandhar Box Office Collection Day 2: Film Earns Rs 31 Crore

For Ranveer Singh, Dhurandhar now ranks as the biggest opening of his career. The film has crossed Padmaavat, which debuted with Rs 24cr. Aditya Dhar also registered a new personal record, as Dhurandhar has overtaken Uri: The Surgical Strike, which opened at Rs 8.20cr in 2019.

According to Taran Adarsh, Dhurandhar earned Rs 28.60 crore (nett) on the opening day.

"#Dhurandhar takes a superb start on Day 1... The film has opened stronger at major centres, with national chains contributing a substantial chunk of the business. The mass pockets and heartland markets also showed improvement as the day progressed... However, the film needs to make up for the shortfall in these markets on Saturday and Sunday to post an impressive opening weekend total. Given its hefty price tag, #Dhurandhar now requires solid growth not just on Saturday and Sunday, but also through the weekdays (sic)," Taran Adarsh wrote.

Among the ensemble, Akshaye Khanna sees the highest first day of career. Dhurandhar has moved ahead of the day one business of Drishyam 2. R. Madhavan also gains a milestone, as the film surpasses Shaitaan to become Madhavan's highest Hindi opener to date.

While Sacnilk reported Dhurandhar's second day earning as Rs 31 crore, Sumit Kadel also quoted a similar number. Kadel tweeted, "#Dhurandhar Day 2 official numbers are expected to be in the vicinity of ₹30-32 Cr nett. The film continued its strong trend on Saturday as well, with a healthy amount of tickets purchased. Two-day Numbers : ₹58-60 Cr nett. Weekend official total should be fantastic ₹ 90 Cr+ (sic)," he tweeted on X.

Dhurandhar Box Office Collection First Weekend: Can Film Cross Rs 100 Crore?

Dhurandhar is Aditya Dhar’s first directorial release in six years after Uri: The Surgical Strike. The film features Ranveer Singh in the lead, while Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi play pivotal roles.

The story is rooted in real events and long-term regional tensions, with operations linked to RAW, India’s external intelligence agency. As the film has earned around Rs 60 crore in the first two days, all eyes are on the third day performance as it will determine if the spy thriller can enter the Rs 100-crore club in the first weekend or not.

The strong first and second suggested a solid audience interest. Can the film sustain momentum in the coming weekdays and weekends across India? This is the big question.
