Dhurandhar Worldwide Box Office Collection Day 2: Dhurandhar has opened strongly worldwide, giving Ranveer Singh a robust return to cinema after two years. After entertaining the audience with Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani in 2023, the energetic actor is back with a bang on the silver screen. The spy action thriller, written and directed by Aditya Dhar, collected Rs 40cr globally on day 1. This figure includes a solid overseas performance, helping the film post Ranveer's highest-ever opening day in India.

The film also marks Aditya Dhar's comeback to direction after six years, following a blockbuster in the form of Vicky Kaushal-Yami Gautam starrer Uri: The Surgical Strike.

Backed by a large ensemble cast featuring R Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, Sara Arjun, Sanjay Dutt, Rakesh Bedi and Arjun Rampal, Dhurandhar had been among the year's most talked-about releases. The trade experts expected the film to collect numbers in the range between Rs 18-20 crore; however, the spy thriller surpassed all expectations and minted over Rs 28 crore on the first day.

Trade portal Sacnilk reported that Dhurandhar earned Rs 7.60cr in the overseas market on day 1, which was the film's first Friday. Adding domestic and international revenues, the worldwide total for day 1 stood at Rs 40cr. These numbers underline a strong start, especially within India, where audience interest translated into big opening shows.

While the film's initial business is healthy, Dhurandhar is already being weighed against earlier action hits. Comparisons with War 2 emerged quickly because of the genre and scale. On its first day overseas, Dhurandhar drew around one-third of the Hrithik Roshan-led film's international opening, highlighting a gap despite positive domestic traction.

As per Sacnilk, Dhurandhar's overseas day two combined box office collection stands at 18 crore. The film has earned Rs 90 crore at the worldwide box office.

According to early estimates for the first weekend, Dhurandhar is expected to grow over Sunday (December 7). Industry projections suggest the film could cross Rs 90cr at the domestic box office earnings by the end of the opening weekend. Trade circles are also watching whether the film can touch the Rs 100cr worldwide mark within the same frame.

With Ranveer Singh's return to a full-scale release, Aditya Dhar's directorial comeback and a high-profile supporting cast, Dhurandhar has started with strong momentum. The film now relies on weekend growth and weekday stability to convert its promising opening into a sustained worldwide run at the box office.
