However, the movie has witnessed a slow response at the box office.
Fateh Box Office Collection Day 1
According to a report published in Sacnilk, Fateh saw a decent start on the first day itself. The movie raked in Rs 2.45 crores at the box office on its opening day (day 1/ first Friday) which was also a non-holiday. Interestingly, Fateh fell short of just Rs 15 lakhs to surpass the lifetime collection of Sonu Sood's 2016 release Tutak Tutak Tutiya which also featured Prabhu Deva and Tamannaah Bhatia key roles
Jacqueline's Lowest Bollywood Opener Post COVID 19
As Jacqueline is seen playing the female lead in Fateh, the movie has turned out to be her lowest Bollywood opener post the pandemic. In fact, it is her second lowest opener post pandemic after 2022 release Kannada film Vikrant Rona which had minted Rs 1.1 crore on its opening day in the Hindi speaking market.
Meanwhile, ever since Fateh trailer had premiered, there have been comparisons of the movie with that of Ranbir Kapoor's Animal. Talking about it, Sonu told India Today Digital, "The problem was, we hired around 70-80 fighters for about three major action sequences. In a single shot, we show 70 people getting killed by my character. Now, we didn't have enough people for the remaining action sequences. Because we had already shown the faces of the fighters earlier, we decided to cast them again with masks. We considered the possibility of people thinking this looks like Animal, but it was a technical necessity. The fighters were brought in from Mexico and South Africa, and it wasn't feasible to replace them immediately. Recycling the same fighters was the most practical solution".
