Talking about his movie Fateh, Sonu Sood said, "Fateh is a very special film for me. The journey is about a common man who goes through a lot every day like low nabs and fake low nabs and they need to be addressed. It also focuses the issue of fake IDs and low-quality products, something we see a lot nowadays. It was essential to address this issue, so I started writing the film and well, the rest is history (sic)." In an interview with Times Now, Sonu Sood claimed to feel "humble" when compared with John Wick. He said, "I have always been a fan of action cinema, been doing it for the past 20 years but I felt that Indian action films lacked something. When I was directing my film, I left no stone unturned, and with Fateh, I wanted to create a film that would make Indians proud. It is the film that the Indian cinemagoers will say is nothing like a Hollywood film, or maybe better (sic)."
