Ground Zero Advance Booking Day 1: Emraan’s Film Fails To Sell 110 Tickets Till Afternoon; To Have Poor Start

Ground Zero Advance Booking Day 1: Emraan Hashmi, who was last seen in Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Tiger 3, is grabbing eyeballs lately. After all, he is coming with his first release of the year and fans are looking forward to it. We are talking about Ground Zero which is action thriller. Directed by Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar and produced Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar, Ground Zero also feature Sai Tamhankar and Zoya Hussain in key roles.

To note, Ground Zero is said to be inspired by a real life incidents and revolves around BSF officer Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey (played by Emraan Hashmi) who led an operation in which terrorist Rana Tahir Nadeem, better known as Ghazi Baba was killed in 2003. For the uninitiated, BSF officer Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey was awarded Kirti Chakra for his bravery. The trailer did grab the eyeballs but the movie has failed to create the substantial buzz before the release. In fact, as the makers started the advance booking of the film today (April 24, 2025), it opened to a disastrous response.

According to a tweet by Kamal R Khan, Ground Zero had managed to sell just 104 tickets until 4 PM today which is shockingly low. This has sparked reports about Ground Zero's low start at the box office tomorrow (April 25, 2025)

Meanwhile, talking about Ground Zero and his character, Emraan stated, "There's an old phrase that sometimes truth is stranger than fiction and this phrase is appropriate for this film. I remember meeting Mr. Dubey, whose character I am portraying, for the first time. I remember telling him that his story is more filmy than a film. And it really is. Just like our brave BSF officers. The officer who all planned this and the encounter happened in 2003. It's nothing short of extraordinary and unbelievable"
