Ground Zero Box Office Day 3: Emraan’s Film Fails To Pick Up In 1st Weekend Amid Kesari Chapter 2 Buzz

Ground Zero Box Office Collection Day 3: Emraan Hashmi, who had successfully carved a niche for himself of a romantic actor, got into a patriotic role with his recent release. We are talking about Ground Zero which marks his first release after the 2023 release Tiger 3 with Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. Directed by Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar, Ground Zero is an action thriller and is said to be based on real life events.
To note, Ground Zero features Emraan playing the role of a BSF officer for the first time on the big screen. Also starring Sai Tamhankar and Zoya Hussain in the lead, Ground Zero revovles around BSF officer Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey who lead the operation to eliminate terrorist Rana Tahir Nadeem also known as Ghazi Baba in 2003. Interestingly, Emraan is seen playing the role of Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey. Despite being the new release, Ground Zero has failed to create any buzz in the town.

After witnessing a slow start at the box office, Ground Zero saw a slight jump in numbers during the opening weekend but failed to pick up pace aming Akshay Kumar's Kesari Chapter 2 and Sunny Deol's Jaat buzz. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Ground Zero minted Rs 2.1 crores on day 3 (first Sunday) which took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 5.15 crores
Ground Zero Opening Weekend Collection
With a collection of Rs 1.9 crores on first Saturday and Rs 2.1 crores on the first Sunday, Ground Zero made a collection of Rs 4 crores during the opening weekend. To note, Ground Zero has been struggling at the box office given the massive buzz of Kesari Chapter 2 and Jaat which are in second and third week respectively.
Meanwhile, talking about Ground Zero and his character, Emraan stated, "There's an old phrase that sometimes truth is stranger than fiction and this phrase is appropriate for this film. I remember meeting Mr. Dubey, whose character I am portraying, for the first time. I remember telling him that his story is more filmy than a film. And it really is. Just like our brave BSF officers. The officer who all planned this and the encounter happened in 2003. It's nothing short of extraordinary and unbelievable"
