Housefull 5 box office collection day 9: Akshay Kumar fans have been on a treat this year, after all, the Khiladi Kumar has been creating waves in the town with his versatility. After the success of Sky Force and Kesari Chapter 2, he is now ruling the headlines for the much talked about Housefull 5 which happens to be a comedy drama with a twist of murder mystery. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Housefull 5 is the fifth installment of the popular franchise which has been one of the biggest releases of the year.

Apart from Akshay, Housefull 5 boasts a stellar cast of Nana Patekar, Riteish Deshmukh, Chunky Pandey, Fardeen Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, Shreyas Talpade etc. Interestingly, Housefull 5 opened to mixed reviews and fans touted it to be a light entertainer. In fact, Housefull 5 recorded the highest opener of the franchise and the third highest opener of 2025 along with Akshay's highest opener of the year. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Housefull 5 saw a hike of over 62% in numbers and recorded Rs 9.77 crores on day 9 (second Saturday). This took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 143.02 crores

Housefull 5 Surpasses Toilet: Ek Prem Katha Lifetime Collection

With a total collection of Rs 143.02 crores, Housefull 5 has managed to beat the lifetime collection of Akshay's popular film Toilet: Ek Prem Katha lifetime collection which happens to be around Rs 134.22 crores and inched close to beat total earnings of OMG 2

Given the fact, that it's a Sunday, Housefull 5 is expected to see another hike in numbers today (day 10/ second Sunday). As a result, Housefull 5 is like to cross the lifetime collection of Akshay and Pankaj Tripathi starrer OMG 2 which is around Rs 150.17 crores

Meanwhile, talking about Housefull 5 having two different climax during trailer launch, producer Sajid Nadiadwala stated, "I have been thinking about this idea for the past 30 years - how to create a thriller with an X factor that leaves the audience talking long after they leave the theatre. So I came up with a story where every theatre will have a different killer. So if you watch it at Gaiety, it'll have one killer. If you watch it at Galaxy, there'll be somebody else. In PVR screen number 4, you'll see a different killer, and in PVR screen number 5, yet another one. It's like every time you watch the film, you'll get a different ending".
