The dip in footfall has naturally caused in dip in box office numbers, while Jaat has earned Rs. 14 Cr on day 4, the movie has earned only Rs. 5.19 Cr on day 5 as of 9pm. The movie is expected to earn not more than Rs. 6 Cr before the box office closes.
Earlier, in an interview with Komal Nahta, Sunny Deol opened up about the box office business from Jaat, "Even when Gadar released, I don't know what it is but it will do decent as the fans of the film would surely watch it but I don't know about the exact numbers. Some say this much or some say that much, I don't understand the reality among that."
He also added, "When you roam around for your film's promotions, how you interact with the public and how the public connect with the movie's trailer and chat with you, it generates a little confidence. I also feel that but the nervousness always stays there."
Sunny Deol's Jaat had a face-off with Salman Khan's Sikandar, which didn't work well at the box office, and is still struggling to recover the budget. Talking about his movie promotion, Salman Khan opened up how he didn't get any support from Bollywood like he always does for others. In response to that, Sunny called Salman Khan 'most supportive actor' and added, "I think, and at the end of the day, we are all human beings, right? Har aadmi ka apna-apna dhang hota hai, kaise nahi hai aur har aadmi chahta hai ki uske baare mein koi accha bole ya cheezein chalein (Every person has their own way of doing things, isn't it? And everyone wants others to speak good about them or see things go well for them). And there's no harm in saying so, right? But humare yahan kitni baar hum log kitni cheezein, anyway, wahan kahaan jaana (But here, many times, we...let's not get into that)."
He further added, "But I think everybody is fond of one another, aur kabhi-kabhi ho jaata hai, kahin kisse ho jaate hain, jahan ek doosre se thodi si ho jaaye (And sometimes it happens that certain things occur between people, creating a slight distance). But I'm sure no one holds negativity towards anyone. And Salman has been a guy who's always been supportive to everybody, and I'm sure all the actors who know him, all the colleagues - I think they are all very supportive of him. And that's the way life is; it's give and take. It can't be one-sided."
