Jaat Morning Occupancy Day 13: Sunny Deol Film Sees Nearly 25% Rise In Footfalls After LOWEST 2nd Mon Earning

Jaat Morning Occupancy Day 13: Despite a controversy around the church scene, which was later removed from the film, and a competition from Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan and Ananya Panday's highly-anticipated courtroom-drama Kesari Chapter 2, Sunny Deol starrer 'Jaat' has been maintaining a healthy grip at the box office. Directed by Gopichand Malineni and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Jaat is doing well at the box office. However, the Bollywood actioner faced a massive dip in numbers on its 2nd Monday (yesterday). Now, the film seems to have picked up a decent upward trend today. Let's take a closer look...

Jaat Occupancy Day 13 (Morning Shows)
Sunny Deol's Jaat is all set to complete 2 weeks in cinemas tomorrow. Ahead of it, the film seems to have picked up a slight upward trend at the box office. According to the latest Sacnilk update, Jaat recorded a 7.20% boost in footfalls during morning shows today (2nd Tuesday, April 22, 2025).
Jaat Morning Occupancy: Yesterday Vs Today
Sunny Deol's film failed to pass the 2nd Monday test yesterday. Th movie had seen 5.77% morning occupancy on day 12 (yesterday, April 21). That means, the film recorded nearly 25% hike (24.76% to be precise) in footfalls today at the box office.
Talking to Bollywood Hungama, Jaat director Gopinanth Malilnani expressed his excitement to the positive response to his Bollywood directorial debut film. He stated, "We went to a theatre in Meerut. Then we went to Randeep Hooda's turf, Haryana followed by Chandigarh. People are loving the film. It's so great to see people screaming in cinema halls, 'Sorry bol'! The viewers have thankfully connected very well to the film. I was also glad to see family audiences also enjoying the film. (sic)"
However, in another interview, he admitted that Jaat's box office perforance fell short of his expectations. He felt that the film could have done 'bigger numbers' at ticket counters. Malineni told Mid-Day, "The censor clearance got delayed. So, our advance booking window opened only a day before the release. Had it opened two-three days earlier, we would've got bigger opening numbers. But since then, it has only grown. (sic)"
However, he expressed his gratitude and admitted that the film's earning is '100% organinc'. During an interview with DNA, he said, "Whatever we're getting, it is 100% organic. People are loving the film, and that's why it is increasing. Word of mouth is helping us and the film. (sic)"
