Jaat Morning Show Occupancy Day 2: The anticipation has been high for Sunny Deol's return to cinema, and fans are in for a treat with his latest film, Jaat. This action-packed thriller not only showcases Deol's return to the silver screen after a hiatus of one and a half years but also introduces Gopichand Malineni, a renowned Telugu director, making his Bollywood debut. The film promises an engaging storyline with Sunny Deol taking on the mantle of the protagonist, Bhaskar Singh "Jaat". He stumbles upon a coastal village in Andhra Pradesh during his travels, where he finds the residents living in fear of a menacing criminal, Ranatunga, portrayed by Randeep Hooda.
Jaat brings together a talented ensemble cast, including Regina Cassandra, who plays the female lead, and Vineet Kumar Singh, Saiyami Kher, Ramya Krishnan, Jagapathi Babu, among others, in pivotal supporting roles. The narrative dives deep into the struggles of a village under the thumb of Ranatunga's tyranny. Jaat Morning Shows Occupancy Day 2
After recording an occupancy of 9.6% on the opening day during the morning shows, Jaat saw a dip of over 43% in footfalls during the morning shows on day 2. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Jaat recorded an occupancy of 5.44% in morning shows on day 2 (first Friday)
Jaat Fails To Beat Sikandar On Day 2
Interestingly, Jaat has been facing frequent comparisons with Salman Khan's Sikandar. However, Jaat has failed to beat the morning show occupancy of Salman Khan's Sikandar on day 2. For the uninitiated, Sikandar recorded occupancy of 8.38% in morning shows on day 2
Meanwhile, Randeep, who will be locking horns with Sunny Deol in Jaat, admitted to be the latter's huge fan. During the promotions, Randeep stated, "I still remember that we used to have his posters in our cupboards stuck with toothpaste during school days and get inspired. I have always been a huge fan of Sunny Deol. Growing up, we admired his powerful screen presence, his intensity, and his physique. I still remember us having his posters in our school hostel cupboards, looking at them and getting inspired to lift weights and doing push ups".
