As Jatadhara has been witnessing a box office clash with Rashmika Mandanna starrer The Girlfriend, his Sudheer Babu starrer is likely to beat the latter in the Hindi market. To note, The Girlfriend is expected to make a collection of Rs 5 lakhs on opening day in the Hindi belt which is 4 times less than Jatadhara

Meanwhile, as Jatadhara has been facing comparisons with Kantara, Sonakshi, in an interview with Mashable India, stated, "Accept kar rahe hai and honestly we are also coming from a space of folklore, of mystery, mythology, old stories and stuff. So comparisons honge but jiss tarah se iss story me Dhanapisachini ka character hai, its done very naturally and nicely. Toh isme modern kahaani bhi hai".
