Kesari Chapter 2 Morning Occupancy Day 6: Akshay Kumar starrer latest Bollywood courtroom-drama Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story Of Jallianwala Bagh has been maintaining a decent hold at the box office so far. Even though the Karan Singh Tyagi directorial is yet to make a mark at the box office, the movie has been receiving rave reviews from all across the world. Amidst decent pre-release buzz, Kesari Chapter 2, bankrolled by Karan Johar under his production house Dharma Productions, had its grand theatrical release worldwide on April 18 and opened to positive reviews from fans and critics alike. Kesari Chapter 2, starring Akshay Kumar as 'C Sankaran Nair', Maddy aka R Madhavan as 'Neville McKinley' alongside Ananya Panday as 'Dilreet Gill', is one of the highly-anticipated releases of the year. Mounted on an estimated budget of somewhere between Rs 100-150 cr allegedly, the film is set to complete 1 week in cinemas tomorrow.
After kickstarting its theatrical journey on an underwhelming note with Rs 7.75 cr, the film showed a noticeable boost in numbers on the weekend. On Monday, the Akshay Kumar starrer saw a sharp drop by 62.50% approx., and minted around Rs 4.5 cr, as per Sacnilk. According to the same trade tracking site, the movie saw a slight growth in numbers and managed to add around Rs 5 cr, taking the total nett numbers to Rs 39 cr in 6 days.

Compared to yesterday, Kesari Chapter 2 has witnessed a drop in morning show footfalls today, on its first Wednesday. As updated by Sacnilk, Akshay, Madhavan and Ananya's film had recorded around 9.39% dip in footfalls in morning shows. That means, the footfalls in morning shows has dropped by 31% approximately.

Despite the drop, Kesari Chapter 2 has managed to beat Sunny Deol's Jaat today. As reported by Sacnilk, Sunny Deol's actioner saw around 5.23% morning occupancy on Wednesday (today). For those unversed, Jaat is set to enter to its 3rd week in cinemas tomorrow (April 24).
Will Kesari Chapter 2 Touch Rs 50 Cr Mark In 1st Week?
Given the current buzz, Kesari Chapter 2 is likely to earn less numbers today compared to yesterday. The film needs to mint around Rs 11 cr (today and tomorrow combined) more to cross Rs 50 cr mark in its first week.
