Kesari Chapter 2 box office collection today: Akshay Kumar-starrer Kesari 2 might not be raking in big moolah at the box office, but it is consistent. Before COVID-19 pandemic, Khiladi Kumar's movies used to generate Rs 100 crore within the first weekend itself. However, the Bollywood star seems to be losing his mojo. His latest release Kesari Chapter 2 managed to cross the Rs 50 crore mark on its eighth day of release.

The courtroom drama has entered the Rs 50-crore club on Friday (April 25) after earning Rs 4.05 crore. The movie is expected to get a boost during the weekends as the new releases (Phule and Ground Zero) have failed to impress the audience on the opening day.

Taran Adarsh shared the latest (updated) box office collection of Kesari Chapter 2 on social media, mentioning that it continued to remain the first choice of the cinephiles. The Bollywood critic stated that Kesari 2 performed better than its first Wednesday and Thursday on the eighth day.

The trade analyst said that the second weekend will be crucial for the film as it is expected to gain momentum in the cinema halls.

GROUND ZERO BOX OFFICE COLLECTION TODAY (APRIL 25)

Emraan Hashmi's action thriller couldn't register a solid opening. Ground Zero earned Rs 1.15 crore on its first day, according to a report by Sacnilk. While the buzz for the film was absmsyl, Emraan Hashmi's star power couldn't pull the audience towards the theatres.

Ground Zero will have to attract more footfalls to generate decent business in the weekend or else the film will turn out to be a flop.

Akshay Kumar defeated Emraan Hashmi in the numbers race as Ground Zero couldn't score a huge opening. Kesari 2 thrashed Ground Zero with a good margin, earning over 3.5 times that of the Emraan-starrer.

Kesari 2 was the number one choice for the movie-goers even when Phule and Ground Zero arrived in the cinema halls.
