Akshay Kumar's engagement with "Kesari Chapter 2" stems from a deeply personal place, as his grandfather was a direct witness to the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. This familial link adds a profound dimension to his advocacy for the film, amplifying his desire to amend historical narratives that may have neglected the full scope of the tragedy. Through his work, Akshay aims to unveil the true magnitude of the event, ensuring that the stories of those affected are accurately represented and remembered.

In a notable endeavor, Akshay Kumar has reached out to the British authorities and King Charles, urging them to experience "Kesari Chapter 2." He believes the film could serve as a catalyst for the British to recognize and understand the grave injustices of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Kumar's goal is not to demand an apology in a diminished manner but rather to encourage an honest acknowledgment of the atrocities depicted in the film. He articulates his stance, stating, "I'm not here with a begging bowl to say, 'They should say sorry'. I want them to at least watch this movie and realise the mistake. Other things will flow automatically from their mouth. The apology is bound to happen, it will flow on its own. But I want them to watch this film. I want the British government and King Charles to watch this film. They should see what happened. The rest will follow automatically," underscoring his aspiration for a spontaneous recognition of past mistakes.
