Kesari Chapter 2 Morning Show Occupancy Day 2: Akshay Kumar is all over the headlines lately and for all the right reasons. After winning hearts with the aerial action drama Sky Force earlier this year, Akshay is back with the much talked about Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh. Helmed by Karan Singh Tyagi, Kesari Chapter 2 is a historical courtroom drama and also features R Madhavan and Ananya Panday in the lead. The movie, which is produced by Dharma Productions, is based on the book "The Case That Shook The Empire" by Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat
Kesari Chapter 2 happens to be an intense courtroom drama led by lawyer C Sankaran Nair (played by Akshay Kumar) following the devastating events of the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre. On the other hand, Ananya is seen playing the role of Dilreet Gill while R Madhavan, who is collaborating with Akshay for the first time, is seen in the role of Advocate Neville McKinkley. As Kesari Chapter 2 has managed to create a massive buzz in the town, it opened to rave reviews from the audience. However, much to everyone's surprise, it saw a dip in footfalls on the second day.

After recording a footfall of 12.67% in morning shows on the opening day, Kesari Chapter 2 saw a dip in occupancy on the second day during the morning shows. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Kesari Chapter 2 recorded an occupancy of 11.68% in morning shows on day 2 (first Saturday)
Kesari Chapter 2 Sees Twice The Footfall Of Jaat
Interestingly, Kesari Chapter 2 has managed to beat the morning show occupancy of Sunny Deol's Jaat and Salman Khan's Sikandar on the second dya of release. For the uninitiated, Jaat recorded an occupancy of 5.44% in morning shows on day 2 while the number was 8.38% for Sikandar.
Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar recalled shooting for Kesari Chapter 2 and stated, "Mostly actors use glycerin for their eyes to cry during film shoot. But, during the (emotional) scene and there is also a song...It is one of the most emotional song I have ever heard. The entire set was crying when we were picturing the whole scene".
