While the movie faced a dip in collection compared to day 4 when it earned Rs. 55 lakhs, it has minted the same as Himesh Reshammiya film, Badass Ravikumar, which minted the same, Rs. 40 lakhs. As of 9pm on day 5, the total India nett collection of Loveyapa stands at Rs. 5.5 Cr. The movie has 7.38% Hindi occupancy as of day 5.

Loveyapa, which is based on modern day love, is an adaptation of Love Today. In an interview with Mid-day, writer Sneha Desai shared, "Love Today is a cult film. Going into it, Advait and my approach was, 'What are we adding to the story?' The first shift was the milieu change, which changes how relationships play out. The second shift is modern-day dating language. This is a film for Gen Z. The original must have been written in 2020-21."
