According to a Times Now report, Netflix has acquired the post-theatrical digital rights of the Kajol-starrer. Yes, Maa will have its OTT premiere on Netflix after its theatrical run. However, the OTT release date is yet to be announced.

In an exclusive chat with Aakash Kumar from Filmibeat, trade analyst Rohit Jaiswal revealed that Kajol's horror-saga 'Maa' has been mounted on an estimated budget of somewhere between Rs 55-60 cr.

Kajol-starrer Maa has opened to mixed reviews from fans and critics alike. According to the real-time Sacnilk updates, the film kicked off its theatrical journey on a lukewarm note. Till 5 pm, the movie has managed to earn Rs 1.73 cr on its opening day.

Kajol starrer Maa is nowhere close to Ajay Devgn-R. Madhavan's Shaitaan's opening day numbers. As per Sacnilk, Shaitaan (2024) had netted around Rs 14.75 cr on the day of its release.
