According to a report published in Sacnilk, Maalik, which minted Rs 3.75 crores on day 1, saw a hike of 40% in numbers on day 2. The movie minted Rs 5.25 crores on day 2 (first Saturday) which took the total collection of the movie to Rs 9 crores

Maalik Mints 93% More Than Badhaai Do

Interestingly, Maalik has managed to beat Badhaai Do on day 2 of release. This action thriller has minted 93% more than Badhaai Do's collection on day 2 which was around Rs 2.72 crores

Meanwhile, Maalik has been facing consistent comparisons with Ranbir Kapoor's Animal and Allu Arjun's Pushpa. However, in his conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Rajkummar had set the record straight and stated, "Every story has its own soul. We're not trying to replicate anyone. We're telling a story that's raw, real, and rooted in its own world".
