Maalik Box Office Collection Day 6: Rajkummar Rao is all over the headlines for both personal and professional reasons. As the versatile actor is gearing up to embrace fatherhood for the first time, he is also grabbing eyeballs with his recent release Maalik. Touted to be an action thriller, Maalik is helmed by Pulkit and features Rajkummar in the titular role. Interestingly, Maalik revolves around a common man, his rise in the mafia world of UP and he turns the tables completely for himself
To note, apart from Rajkummar, Maalik also features former beauty queen Manushi Chillar in the lead marking her first collaboration with Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. Apart from the lead duo, Maalik also features Prosenjit Chatterjee as Prabhu Das, Huma Qureshi as Mallika, Saurabh Sachdeva as Chandrashekhar, Saurabh Shukla as Minister Shankar Singh, Anshumaan Pushkar as Badaun, Swanand Kirkire as Balhar Singh, Rajendra Gupta as Bindeshwar, Deepak / Maalik's father and Baljinder Kaur as Parvati, Deepak / Maalik's mother. To note, Maalik opened to mixed reviews from the audience and saw a decent start at the box office.

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Maalik has been witnessing a continuous dip in numbers but it has managed to still have a good hold at the box office and inched close to Rs 20 crores.. The movie minted Rs 1.67 crores on first Wednesday which took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 19.77 crores
Maalik Crushes Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan & Superman
Interestingly, Maalik has been witnessing a box office clash with Vikrant Massey and Shanaya Kapoor's Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan and Hollywood movie Superman. However, this Rajkummar starrer has managed to crush Vikrant's film and even surpass Superman in the Hindi market
Meanwhile, Maalik has been facing consistent comparisons with Ranbir Kapoor's Animal and Allu Arjun's Pushpa. However, in his conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Rajkummar had set the record straight and stated, "Every story has its own soul. We're not trying to replicate anyone. We're telling a story that's raw, real, and rooted in its own world".
