Maalik experienced a notable increase in earnings on its second day. As reported by Sacnilk, the movie initially garnered Rs 3.75 crores on its opening day. However, by the second day, which was the first Saturday, its earnings surged by 40%, reaching Rs 5.25 crores.

In an exclusive conversation with Filmibeat, film business expert Rohit Jaiswal stated that Maalik is expected to mint Rs 6 crores today (day 3/ first Sunday). He also emphasised that Maalik's opening weekend collection is likely to be around Rs 16 crores.

Meanwhile, Maalik has been facing consistent comparisons with Ranbir Kapoor's Animal and Allu Arjun's Pushpa. However, in his conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Rajkummar had set the record straight and stated, "Every story has its own soul. We're not trying to replicate anyone. We're telling a story that's raw, real, and rooted in its own world".
