Marking the return of one of Bollywood's most loved comedy teams, the film brings nostalgia, chaos, and the signature madness that defined the franchise over the years. After a long gap, fans were curious to see whether the trio could revive the laughter riot that made Masti a cult favourite.

The fourth instalment landed in cinemas on Friday, November 21, opening alongside Farhan Akhtar's war drama 120 Bahadur. With such a contrasting box-office clash, Mastiii 4 was expected to pull in viewers purely on the strength of its brand value and the fanbase built over three films.

Day 1 of Mastiii 4's box office performance turned out to be underwhelming. Directed by Milap Zaveri, the film opened to a lukewarm response, struggling to leave a strong first impression. Despite the franchise's huge recall value, the comedy failed to attract significant footfall on its opening day, with poor reactions pouring in throughout Friday.

The film registered a box office opening of ₹2.75 crore on Day 1, according to Sacnilk. With this, Mastiii 4 becomes the second-biggest opener in the Masti franchise, while Grand Masti continues to hold the top spot.

As the film enters Day 2, all eyes are on whether Mastiii 4 can pick up some momentum over the weekend or continue its modest run. According to the real-time Sacnlk data, the adult-comedy sequel is showing a positive weekend buzz today (Saturday, Nov 22). Till 5:30 PM, the movie has managed to add around ₹ 1.09 cr, taking the overall numbers to ₹ 3.84 cr (approx.), as of now.

If the Sacnilk report is to be believed, Mastiii 4 is yet to surpass its oepning figures today.
