Param Sundari Box Office Day 2: Sidharth-Janhvi’s Film Sees 27% Hike On 1st Saturday But Fails To Earn 10Cr

Param Sundari Box Office Collection Day 2: Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor have collaborated for the first time onscreen and we can't keep calm about it. We are talking about Tushar Jalota's directorial Param Sundari which has been one of the most talked about movies of the year. Bankrolled by Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films, Param Sundari narrates the story of a north Indian man falling in love with a south Indian girl and how their love story becomes a roller coaster ride.

Interestingly, Param Sundari has managed to create a massive buzz in the town with songs which have been winning hearts, fresh chemistry between the lead duo and an intriguing plot. In fact, Param Sundari opened to decent reviews from the audience and saw a good opening at the box office. In fact, Param Sundari recorded 4th highest romantic opening for Maddock Films after Cocktail, Love Aaj Kal and Luka Chuppi. And now, it is reported that Param Sundari saw an impressive hike in numbers on the second day of release

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Param Sundari saw a hike of over 27% in numbers and minted Rs 9.25cr on day 2 (first Saturday). This took the overall collection of the movie to Rs 17.50cr

Param Sundari Fails To Beat Saiyaara With Huge Gap

Interestingly, Param Sundari has been facing frequent comparisons with Saiyaara, starring Aneet Padda and Ananya Padda. However, this Sidharth-Janhvi starrer has failed to beat Saiyaara with a huge gap as the latter had raked in Rs 26cr on the second day of release.

Meanwhile, as fans have been drawing similarities between Param Sundari and Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone's Chennai Express, Janhvi cleared the air and told Mirchi Plus, "Deepika [Padukone] played a Tamilian in the film, and I play a half-Tamilian, half-Malayali girl. I am from Kerala in the film, and not all people from the South can be grouped together. It's a different milieu altogether, and it's not like that this is a repetitive thing at all."
