Raid 2 Box Office Collection Day 17: Ajay Devgn has every reason to celebrate as his latest film Raid 2 continues its stellar performance at the box office. Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, the sequel to the 2018 hit Raid brings back Ajay Devgn in his iconic role as IRS officer Amay Patnaik who is embarking on his 75th high-stakes raid. Raid 2 boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Vaani Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh in pivotal roles, along with powerhouse performers like Amit Sial, Rajat Kapoor, Saurabh Shukla, and Supriya Pathak in strong supporting parts.

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Raid 2 saw a hike of over 33% on third Saturday. After minting Rs 3 crores on third Friday, Raid 2 minted Rs 4 crores on day 17 (third Saturday) which took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 143.35 crores. To note, Raid 2 minted twice the collection of Akshay Kumar's Kesari Chapter 2 (Rs 2 crores) on third Saturday.

Raid 2 Beats Singham Returns Lifetime Collection

With a total collection of Rs 143.35 crores, Raid 2 has managed to beat the lifetime collection of Ajay Devgn's Singham Returns which happens to be around Rs 140.60 crores.

Meanwhile, Ajay recently got candid about Vaani Kapoor replacing Ileana D'Cruz as the female lead in Raid 2 and stated, "You see it in a lot of Hollywood films also. Still, Sean Connery is not the James Bond. It's the character you follow, and then new people keep coming in". To note, Raid 2 witnessed a box office clash with Sanjay Dutt's The Bhootnii and crushed it at the theatre windows post release.
