Raid 2 Box Office Collection Day 2: Ajay-Riteish’s Film Sees 38% Dip On 1st Friday Post Impressive Start

Raid 2 Box Office Collection Day 2: Ajay Devgn starrer Raid 2 has been one of the most anticipated releases of the year and it managed to take over the big screen with a storm. Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, Raid 2 is the sequel of the 2018 release Raid and features Ajay reprising his role of IRS officer Amay Patnaik. The crime thriller drama also feautres Vaani Kapoor, Riteish Deshmukh, Amit Sial, Rajat Kapoor, Supriya Pathak and Saurabh Shukla in the lead.

Interestingly, Raid 2 features Ajay aka Amay Patnaik returning to conduct his 75th raid and this time renowned but corrupt politician Dada Manohar Bhai (played by Riteish Deshmukh) is on his radar. To note, Ajay and Riteish's face off has been one of the key elements of Raid 2 and fans have been in absolute awe of both the actors' respective performances. It is worth mentioning that Raid 2 marks Ajay's 4th collaboration with Riteish after Cast, Masti and Total Dhamaal

After recording an opening day collection of Rs 19.25 crores, Raid 2 saw a massive dip of Rs 38.96% on the second day of release. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Raid 2 minted Rs 11.75 crores on day 2 (first Friday) which took the overall collection of the movie to Rs 31 crores

Raid 2 Beats Jaat & Kesari Chapter 2 On Day 2

With a collection of Rs 11.75 crores, Raid 2 has managed to beat Sunny Deol's Jaat and Akshay Kumar's Kesari Chapter 2 on the second day of release. To note, Jaat minted Rs 7 crores on day 2 while the collection was Rs 9.75 corres for Kesari Chapter 2.

Meanwhile, Ajay recently got candid about Vaani Kapoor replacing Ileana D'Cruz as the female lead in Raid 2 and stated, "You see it in a lot of Hollywood films also. Still, Sean Connery is not the James Bond. It's the character you follow, and then new people keep coming in". To note, Raid 2 is set to release on May 1 and will have a box office clash with Sanjay Dutt's The Bhootnii.
