Raid 2 Box Office Collection Day 1 Prediction: Remember Ajay Devgn's 2018 release Raid? The crime thriller drama was a huge hit and managed to win millions of hearts. And now after seven years, Ajay is back with the much awaited sequel and we can't keep calm. Titled as Raid 2, this crime thriller drama is helmed by Raj Kumar Gupta and also features Vaani Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh in the lead. Touted to be Ajay's first full fledged release of 2025, Raid 2 has been one of the most anticipated releases of the year.

Raid 2 features Ajay reprising his role of IRS officer Amay Patnaik who is back to conduct his 75th raid and this time against a corrupt politician named Dada Bhai (played by Riteish Deshmukh). To note, Raid 2 marks Ajay's fourth collaboration with Riteish after Cash, Masti and Total Dhamaal respectively. Interestingly, Raid 2 has managed to create a massive buzz in the town and raked in Rs 6.52 crores from advance booking.

Raid 2 Box Office Collection Day 1 Prediction

While there have been speculations about how Raid 2 will fare at the box office, in an exclusive conversation with Filmibeat, film business expert Rohit Jaiswal asserted that Raid 2 is likely to mint Rs 14 crores on its opening day (day 1/ first Thursday).

Raid 2 To Become Third Highest Opener Of 2025

If the reports turned out to be true, Raid 2 will manage to beat Sunny Deol's Jaat (Rs 9.5 crores) on the opening day and will be making its way top 5 highest openers of 2025 so far. This isn't all, Raid 2 will also beat Akshay Kumar's Sky Force which had minted Rs 12.25 crores on its day of release and is likely to become the third highest opener of 2025.

Raid 2 To Surpass Raid Opening Day Collection

Interestingly, Raid 2 will be seen surpassing the opening day collection of its prequel Raid which had earned Rs 10.04 crores on its day of release.

Meanwhile, Ajay recently got candid about Vaani Kapoor replacing Ileana D'Cruz as the female lead in Raid 2 and stated, "You see it in a lot of Hollywood films also. Still, Sean Connery is not the James Bond. It's the character you follow, and then new people keep coming in". To note, Raid 2 is set to release on May 1 and will have a box office clash with Sanjay Dutt's The Bhootnii.
