Raid 2 Morning Occupancy Day 1: Ajay Devgn is all over the headlines lately and rightfully so. After all, he has come with the first release of the year. We are talking about Raid 2 which is the sequel to 2018 release Raid. Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, Raid 2 is a crime action thriller which also features Vaani Kapoor, Riteish Deshmukh, Amit Sial, Saurabh Shukla, etc in key roles and the movie has managed to create a massive buzz in the town.

For the uninitiated, Raid 2 features Ajay reprising his role of IRS officer Amay Patnaik. While Vaani plays the role of the female lead while Riteish is seen as the lead antagonist - a corrupt politician named Dada Manohar Bhai. Interestingly, as Ajay aka Amay is back to conduct his 75th raid, he will be seen locking horns with Riteish in the movie. To note, Raid 2 marks Ajay's first collaboration with Vaani and fourth one with Riteish after Cash, Masti and Total Dhamaal. As Raid 2 had hit the screens today on Labour Day, it opened to rave reviews from the audience.

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Raid 2 recorded an occupancy of 21.23% during the morning shows on the opening day (day 1/ first Thursday). It is evident that Raid 2 got the benefit of labour day

Raid 2 Records Second Highest Morning Occupancy Day 1

Interestingly, Raid 2 has managed to beat the opening day occupancy in morning shows of Sikandar (13.11%), Jaat (9.56%) and Sky Force (7.56%). In fact, Raid 2 has recorded the second highest morning shows occupancy on day 1 in 2025 after Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava.

Meanwhile, Ajay recently got candid about Vaani Kapoor replacing Ileana D'Cruz as the female lead in Raid 2 and stated, "You see it in a lot of Hollywood films also. Still, Sean Connery is not the James Bond. It's the character you follow, and then new people keep coming in". To note, Raid 2 is set to release on May 1 and will have a box office clash with Sanjay Dutt's The Bhootnii.
