Raid 2 Occupancy Report Day 1 Update: After a long wait of almost 7 years, Ajay Devgn is back as the iconic IRS officer Amay Patnaik in the highly-anticipated Raid 2. Amidst strong pre-release buzz, Raid 2, a sequel to Devgn's 2018 hit 'Raid', hit cinemas worldwide today, 1st May 2025. In the sequel, Vaani Kapoor has replaced Ileana D'Cruz as Patnaik's wife 'Malini'. This time, Ajay Devgn's character is locking horns with the corrupted politician 'Dadabhai', played by Riteish Deshmukh.

Produced by T Series, the film marks Ajay Devgn's return as IRS (Indian Revenue Service) officer Amay Patnaik who is on a mission to track another white-collar crime.

If reports are to be believed, the sequel has been made on a budget of somewhere Rs 40-50 cr. Reportedly, Netflix has acquired Raid 2's OTT rights, which means that the film will have its OTT premiere on Netflix after its theatrical run.

Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh and Vaani Kapoor's latest Hindi-language crime-thriller has opened to mixed reviews from fans and critics alike. Despite the odds, Raid 2 has kickstarted its theatrical journey on a positive note. According to the latest Sacnilk update, the movie has earned around Rs 16.69 cr on its opening day so far till 8:05 PM.

Raid 2 is on its way to becoming the second-biggest opening Hindi film in 2025 so far. After recording a strong footfall in morning shows on opening day (today), the film picked up a massive upward trend in evening occupancy. As per the same trade tracking site, Raid 2 has witnessed a 38.45% occupancy in evening shows today.
