Raid 2 Worldwide Box Office Collection Day 1: Ajay Devgn's recent release Raid 2 stirred considerable excitement among the audience. The much awaited sequel to the 2018 release Raid, Raid 2 is a crime thriller drama helmed by Raj Kumar Gupta. While Raid 2 is one of the most anticiapted releases of 2015 it came with an interesting cast including Ajay, Riteish Deshmukh, Vaani Kapoor, Saurabh Shukla, Rajat Kapoor, Supriya Pathak, Amit Sial etc.

While Ajay has reprised his role of IRS officer Amay Patnaik in Raid 2, Vaani Kapoor was seen replacing Ileana D'Cruz as the new female lead. This isn't all. Raid 2 also features Riteish Deshmukh as the lead antagonist Dada Manohar Bhai - a corrupt politician. To note, while Raid 2 marks Ajay's first collaboration with Vaani, it is his 4th project with Riteish after Cast, Masti and Total Dhamaal. And while Raid 2 had managed to create a massive buzz in the town, it has opened to rave reviews in India and across the world

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Raid 2 made an opening day collection of Rs 3 crores in the overseas market while the total worldwide collection of this Ajay Devgn starrer stands at Rs 25.75 crores

Raid 2 Beats Jaat In Overseas On Day 1

With an overseas collection of Rs 3 crores, Raid 2 has managed to beat Jaat in the overseas market as the Sunny Deol starrer had minted Rs 2 crores on the day of release.

Meanwhile, Ajay recently got candid about Vaani Kapoor replacing Ileana D'Cruz as the female lead in Raid 2 and stated, "You see it in a lot of Hollywood films also. Still, Sean Connery is not the James Bond. It's the character you follow, and then new people keep coming in". To note, Raid 2 is set to release on May 1 and will have a box office clash with Sanjay Dutt's The Bhootnii.
