Saiyaara Box Office Records Day 1: Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda are celebrating a significant milestone. They have made their debut in the film industry with the highly anticipated movie, Saiyaara. Interestingly, Saiyaara's grand opening was marked by impressive achievements, including the third highest advance booking collection of 2025 and the second highest ticket sales for day one. According to Sacnilk, Saiyaara witnessed a grand opening at the box office and minted Rs 20 crores on day 1 (first Friday). The movie went on to create four box office records on the day of release

Saiyaara has managed to surpass the opening day collection of Ajay Devgn's Raid 2 and has recorded the fourth highest opening of 2025

Highest Opener For A Bollywood Romantic Film

This Ahaan and Aneet starrer has also recorded the highest opening for a Bollywood romantic film after beating Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone's Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani which made an opening day collection of Rs 19.45 crores

Highest Opener Starring Debutants

Saiyaara also recorded the highest opening for a Bollywood film starring debutants after beating Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter starrer Dhadak which made a collection of Rs 8.75 crores on its day of release

Mohit Suri's Highest Opener Of 2025

Saiyaara has also emerged as the highest opener for director Mohit Suri after beating Ek Villain which had earned Rs 16.72 crores on day 1.

Apart from these, Saiyaara also registered the record of all-time Biggest Opening Day for a 'pure love story' in Indian cinema, highest Opening Day Ticket Sales post-2000 for a debutant film, most tickets sold on day 1 for a debutant film in 25 years - since Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai and Refugee (2000), highest opening day for a love story post-pandemic and first Love Story to Cross ₹20 Cr Net in a single day post-COVID.

Meanwhile, Mohit Suri spoke about Saiyaara's comparisons with Aashiqui and told Firstpost, "When I made Zeher, they said it looked like Murder. When I made Ek Villain, they said it looked like Murder 2. When I made Malang, they said it looked like Ek Villain. When I made Aashiqui 2, they said it looked like Woh Lame and Rockstar. So I think when I go ahead and make my next film, they'll say it looks like Saiyaara. I think when they're comparing it to my own work rather than somebody else's, it's good".
