According to film business expert Sumit Kadel, Sanam Teri Kasam minted Rs 4.25 crores on its opening day followed by a collection of Rs 5.5 crores nett on day 2 (first Saturday). This took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 9.75 crores post its re-release

Given the ongoing trend, Sanam Teri Kasam, which has already surpassed its initial lifetime collection, is expected to mint Rs 6-7 crores at the box office today (day 3/ first Sunday) and is likely to cross Rs 15 crores in the opening weekend post re-release.

Meanwhile, Harshvardhan is hopeful about Sanam Teri Kasam's success at the box office post re-release. He told SCREEN, "I hope it does what it didn't do earlier, that's it. Kya feel karoon main? Everyone was asking me everywhere to bring this film back. The only anecdote I remember is that we all were expecting this film to do much better than what it did. That void has pushed me today to request everyone to release this. Nau saal hogaye hain (It has been nine years), every year they keep losing faith, but my faith keeps increasing. When it didn't perform well, we all (the producers, director, actors) felt that pain, a tug in the heart".
