The much awaited third installment of the Sardaar Ji franchise has been mired with controversy before its release, courtesy of the casting of Pakistani actress Hania Aamir. For the uninitiated, Diljit Dosanjh and Sardaar Ji 3 has been facing massive back lash for casting Hania due to her controversial remarks regarding India and Operation Sindoor. For the uninitiated, Sardaar Ji 3 makers decided not to release Sardaar Ji 3 in India owing to the massive controversy. However, the movie witnessed a grand release not just overseas but also in Pakistan. It is reported that fans in Pakistan has been going gaga over Diljit's first collaboration with Hania Aamir and their fresh chemistry has been winning hearts overseas. And now, as per fresh media reports, Sardaar Ji 3 is breaking records at the Pakistani box office and has got the cash registers ringing.

According to a report published in Free Press Journal, Sardaar Ji 3 made a collection of $500,000 (Rs 4.27 crore) on its days of release in Pakistan.

Interestingly, Sardaar Ji 3 has managed to beat Salman Khan starrer Sultan to record the highest opening for an Indian film in Pakistan.

Sardaar Ji 3 Overseas Collection

Interestingly, Sardaar Ji 3 has minted Rs 4.32 crores on day 1 and Rs 6.71 crores on day 2 which took the total collections of the movie to Rs 11.03 crores globally in two days of release.

Meanwhile, Diljit reacted to the ongoing controversy during an interview with BBC Asian Network and stated, "When this film was made, the situation was fine... We shot it in February and everything was going well at that time. Look, there are a lot of things, big things, that are not in our control. So the producers decided that obviously, now this film won't release in India, so let's release it overseas".
