Sikandar Box Office Collection Day 10 Early Updates

Sikandar Box Office Collection Day 10 Early Updates: Sikandar is the talk of the town at the moment after Chhaava's release, which has taken the box office by storm. However, despite having an interesting storyline and an ensemble cast, Salman Khan's romantic-actioner failed to cast its spell on the audience and critics, and failed miserably at the box office after being made with an whopping budget of Rs. 200 Cr. Although the movie has crossed Rs. 100 Cr mark at the domestic box office, it is yet to recover the budget of the film as the total collection of the film is Rs. 171.65 Cr.

The movie was extra special for the fans as it featured Rashmika Mandanna, with whom Salman Khan is pairing up for the first time, who has also delivered some of the highest-grossing films like Animal, Pushpa 2, and Chhaava. Other than that, it was Salman joining hands with Ghajini-fame A.R. Murugadoss that raised the expectations bar for many. However, all these went in vain when the movie couldn't perform up to the mark.

On day 10, the movie is struggling to cross Rs. 1 Cr, and has earned only Rs. 91 lakhs as of 7pm on 2nd Tuesday. Although the movie still has another 3 hours to perform at the box officce, this is naturally a significant drop in collection as it earned Rs. 1.75 Cr on day 9 seeing -63.16% drop compared to day 8 when it earned Rs. 4.75 Cr.

Sikandar Crosses THIS Mark At The Box Office On Day 10

Sikandar crosses Rs. 105 Cr mark on day 10 and earned Rs. 105.16 Cr nett total at the domestic box office as of 7pm on day 10, which is a notable mark for the film to cross despite seeing drop.

In his recent interview with ET, Salman Khan recently admitted that being a big star alone isn't enough to make the movie successful, he said, "Today, people want engaging stories. Even the biggest stars need a solid script to back them up. No one is walking into theatres just to see a big name anymore. If the film isn't good, audiences won't stay."

He also stated that the definition of mass cinema has also evolved, "Earlier, there was a clear distinction between 'mass' and 'class' cinema, but now that line has blurred. Whether it's single-screen theaters or multiplexes, audiences want the same thrill. Even in high-end multiplexes, people are whistling and cheering like in single-screen theaters. The culture of 'seeti-taali' (whistles and claps) is everywhere now."

The superstar also claimed that it is not about fame only, "At the end of the day, it's about staying relevant. You have to keep reinventing yourself, keep entertaining people, and most importantly, keep working hard. Stardom alone doesn't last, but good films do."

Salman Khan's film had a face-off with Empuraan at the box office, whille the Mohanlal starrer is doing well at the box office, the former is seeing a sluggish growth. In a recent interview with NDTV, when Salman was asked what the biggest difference between South and Bollywood directors, he said, "Technically, they're very advanced and emotionally they're very evolved. They don't pick up ideas and stories from elsewhere. They conceive their own stories.

Having said that, it's not like all the films that they make in the South are good. In Bollywood, you only remember those films that work well at the box office. Wahaan bhi hafte mein 2-3 picture picture banti hai but woh kuch khaas karti nahi hai (2-3 movies are released every week in the South too, but they all don't do too well). The mantra is the same everywhere. If you make good films, they'll work."
