After all, he is coming with the first release of the year. We are talking about Sikandar which is a romantic action thriller directed by A R Murugadoss. Featuring Salman in the titular role, Sikandar also features a stellar cast including Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Prateik Babbar, Sharman Joshi and Sathyaraj.

Interestingly, Sikandar marks Salman's first collaboration with A R Murugadoss and Rashmika Mandanna and it has already become the most anticipated releases of the year. Given Sikandar's buzz, there have been speculations about how much Sikandar will be earning on its opening day. In an exclusive conversation with Filmibeat, film business expert Rohit Jaiswal stated that Sikandar is likely to make a collection of Rs 35-38 crores on day 1 (first Sunday)

Sikandar To Beat Chhaava On Opening Day

If the reports turned out to be true, Sikandar is likely to beat Vicky Kaushal starrer Chhaava which had minted Rs 31 crores and will become the highest opener of 2025.

Meanwhile, in an interview with India Today, Rashmika Mandanna recalled how she was roped in for Sikandar and stated, "Being able to reach the place where you get to work with SK (Salman Khan). It just feels like you've done something right. So, when I got this call, I knew that, OK, I want to do commercial films, but I wanted depth in commercial films and I needed emotions in commercial films. And that's when it sort of attracts me to do the film. So Sajid (Nadiadwala, producer) sir first made the call, and he said, 'OK, we have something really exciting for you.' I was just like, 'OK, sir, let me take up the narration', and I was in Vizag at the moment shooting for something else. So, the first AD came, he narrated the story, and I fell in love with it, and I went to the next portion of it and asked, OK, what is the star cast looking like? And when they mentioned SK, I was like, how in the world did I get here?".
