Sikandar Night Occupancy Day 2: In a thrilling development for fans, Salman Khan graced the cinemas once again after a hiatus of 1.5 years, presenting his latest film Sikandar on Eid. This film, a romantic action thriller, has been eagerly awaited by audiences, especially since it showcases Salman's first screen partnership with Rashmika Mandanna. Their unique on-screen chemistry was one of the key highlights that amplified the anticipation around the movie. Directed by A R Murugadoss, this project marks his maiden venture with Salman, known for his role in Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, adding a layer of excitement among the fans.

Sikandar enlists an impressive ensemble cast including Rashmika Mandanna, Sharman Joshi, Kajal Aggarwal, Prateik Babbar, and Sathyaraj alongside Salman Khan, who plays the lead role. The film's release was met with a fervent response from Salman's fanbase, keen to witness his charisma on the big screen. However, the audience's reception to Sikandar was mixed. Despite the high anticipation and the star-studded cast, the film opened to varied reviews from viewers. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Sikandar, which recorded an evening occupancy of 30.18%, witnessed a hike in footfalls during the night shows on the occasion of Eid. Reportedly, Sikandar registered a night occupancy of 33.12% during night shows on day 2 (first Monday).

With an occupancy of 33.12%, Sikandar has failed to beat Chhaava (47.46%) with a huge gap in terms of occupancy of night shows on first Monday. In fact, this Salman starrer has recorded the second highest occupancy during night show on first Monday this year.

Meanwhile, in an interview with India Today, Rashmika Mandanna recalled how she was roped in for Sikandar and stated, "Being able to reach the place where you get to work with SK (Salman Khan). It just feels like you've done something right. So, when I got this call, I knew that, OK, I want to do commercial films, but I wanted depth in commercial films and I needed emotions in commercial films. And that's when it sort of attracts me to do the film. So Sajid (Nadiadwala, producer) sir first made the call, and he said, 'OK, we have something really exciting for you.' I was just like, 'OK, sir, let me take up the narration', and I was in Vizag at the moment shooting for something else. So, the first AD came, he narrated the story, and I fell in love with it, and I went to the next portion of it and asked, OK, what is the star cast looking like? And when they mentioned SK, I was like, how in the world did I get here?".
