Sikandar Fails To Beat Chhaava

With an occupancy of 13.76% in morning shows on opening day, Sikandar has failed to beat Vicky Kaushal starrer Chhaava, which recorded a footfall of 47.84% on its day of release. As a result, Sikandar has recorded the second highest occupancy of 2025.

Meanwhile, in an interview with India Today, Rashmika Mandanna recalled how she was roped in for Sikandar and stated, "Being able to reach the place where you get to work with SK (Salman Khan). It just feels like you've done something right. So, when I got this call, I knew that, OK, I want to do commercial films, but I wanted depth in commercial films and I needed emotions in commercial films. And that's when it sort of attracts me to do the film. So Sajid (Nadiadwala, producer) sir first made the call, and he said, 'OK, we have something really exciting for you.' I was just like, 'OK, sir, let me take up the narration', and I was in Vizag at the moment shooting for something else. So, the first AD came, he narrated the story, and I fell in love with it, and I went to the next portion of it and asked, OK, what is the star cast looking like? And when they mentioned SK, I was like, how in the world did I get here?".
