After a break of one and a half years, Salman Khan made a grand return to the cinema with Sikandar, reigniting the excitement among his vast fan base. The film's significance is heightened by Salman's first-time collaboration with Rashmika Mandanna, creating a fresh and intriguing on-screen duo. Prior to hitting the theaters, the movie's trailer and soundtrack had already whipped up considerable anticipation. Despite the mixed initial reactions from the audience, there's ongoing debate about how well Sikandar will perform financially, keeping fans and critics on their toes.

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Sikandar, which recorded an occupancy of 8.38% on day 2 during morning shows, saw another dip in footfalls on day 3 in the morning shows after Eid celebrations. The movie registered an occupancy of 6.87% on day 3 (first Wednesday)

Sikandar Sees Over 60% Less Than Chhaava

Interestingly, Sikandar has been lagging behind Vicky Kaushal starrer Chhaava with a huge gap of over 60% on the first Wednesday. For the uninitiated, Chhaava had recorded 18.19% on the first Wednesday during the morning show

Meanwhile, in an interview with India Today, Rashmika Mandanna recalled how she was roped in for Sikandar and stated, "Being able to reach the place where you get to work with SK (Salman Khan). It just feels like you've done something right. So, when I got this call, I knew that, OK, I want to do commercial films, but I wanted depth in commercial films and I needed emotions in commercial films. And that's when it sort of attracts me to do the film. So Sajid (Nadiadwala, producer) sir first made the call, and he said, 'OK, we have something really exciting for you.' I was just like, 'OK, sir, let me take up the narration', and I was in Vizag at the moment shooting for something else. So, the first AD came, he narrated the story, and I fell in love with it, and I went to the next portion of it and asked, OK, what is the star cast looking like? And when they mentioned SK, I was like, how in the world did I get here?".
