However, the prediction are made that Sitaare Zameen Par might not be able to earn in double digits on opening day. As per Filmibeat's reports, Sitaare Zameen Par is predicted to earn somewhere around 7 to 9 crores on Day 1.

Taran Adarsh said to Indian Express, "The box office run (of Aamir Khan) currently depends on word-of-mouth. Since the promotion for the film is very light, now the film's success depends only on Aamir Khan's face-value. For the opening weekend, it could be around Rs 30 crore (sic)."
