Sitaare Zameen Par Box Office Day 14: Aamir’s Film Beats Housefull 5 & Creates Big Record As It Wraps Week 2

Sitaare Zameen Par Box Office Collection Day 14: Aamir Khan, who was last seen in 2022 release Laal Singh Chaddha, is back on the big screen this year and made sure to make his comeback a memorable one. After all, his film Sitaare Zameen Par has been winning over audiences and performing exceptionally well at the box office. Directed by RS Prasanna, this sports comedy-drama also stars Genelia Deshmukh in a key role, marking her first collaboration with Aamir. To note, Sitaare Zameen Par is the official Hindi remake of the Spanish film Champions.

Apart from Aamir and Genelia, Sitaare Zameen Par also features a talented ensemble cast, including Dolly Ahluwalia, Brijendra Kala, Simran Mangeshkar, Shahani, Gopi Krishnan Varma, Naman Misra, Aroush Datta, Vedant Sharmaa, Samvit Desai, and Aayush Bhansali. The much talked about release had hit the theatres on June 20 and ever since then, it has been creating ripples at the box office and creating new records.

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Sitaare Zameen Par has been maintaining a decent hold at the box office. In fact it minted Rs 2.5 crores on day 14 (second Thursday) which took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 135.40 crores

Sitaare Zameen Par Records 2nd Highest Week 2 Collection

Interestingly, Sitaare Zameen Par has recorded a collection of Rs 46.5 crores during week 2. As a result, this Aamir starrer has managed to beat Raid 2 and Housefull 5 to record the second highest week 2 collection after Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava.

Earlier, talking about Sitaare Zameen Par, Aamir stated, "Well, it's a beautiful story. Actually, the easiest way I can describe it is that Taare Zameen Par is a very emotional film which makes you cry. Sitaare Zameen Par makes you laugh, it's a humorous film. The theme is similar, of people with different abilities, different intelligence, or with different challenges. But, it's humour as opposed to emotions".
