Sitaare Zameen Par Box Office Collection Day 2: Aamir’s Film Sees 102% Hike; Creates A Record On 1st Saturday

Aamir Khan has returned to the cinema after a three-year hiatus and fans can't keep calm about it. Known as Bollywood's Mr Perfectionist, Aamir was last seen in Laal Singh Chaddha and after three years, he is here with Sitaare Zameen Par which has been one of the most anticipated releases of the year. Directed by RS Prasanna, Sitaare Zameen Par is a sports comedy drama and is a spiritual follow-up to the 2007 hit Taare Zameen Par.

Interestingly, Sitaare Zameen Par marks Aamir's first on-screen collaboration with Genelia Deshmukh and their chemistry has left everyone brimming with an opinion. To note, Sitaare Zameen Par is an official adaptation of the 2018 Spanish movie Champions. While the trailer of Sitaare Zameen Par generated significant excitement, the movie has opened to rave reviews from audiences, capturing the hearts of many. In fact, after a good opening at the box office, it has been seeing an upward trend in collections as well

After minting Rs 10.7 crores on the opening day, Sitaare Zameen Par saw a 102% hike in numbers on the second day of release. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Sitaare Zameen Par has minted Rs 21.7 crores on day 2 (first Saturday). This took the overall collection of the movie to Rs 32.40 crores

Sitaare Zameen Par Records 4th Highest First Saturday Of 2025

Interestingly, with a collection of Rs 21.7 crores, Sitaare Zameen Par has recorded the 4th highest Saturday collection of 2025 after Chhaava, Housefull 5 and Sikandar respectively.

Earlier, talking about Sitaare Zameen Par, Aamir stated, "Well, it's a beautiful story. Actually, the easiest way I can describe it is that Taare Zameen Par is a very emotional film which makes you cry. Sitaare Zameen Par makes you laugh, it's a humorous film. The theme is similar, of people with different abilities, different intelligence, or with different challenges. But, it's humour as opposed to emotions".
