Sitaare Zameen Par Worldwide Box Office Collection Day 17: Aamir Khan, who was last seen in the 2022 release Laal Singh Chaddha, is all over the headlines with his recent release which has been winning hearts. We are talking about Sitaare Zameen Par which is said to be the spiritual sequel to the much popular 2007 release Taare Zameen Par. Directed by RS Prasanna, Sitaare Zameen Par happens to be a sports comedy drama which is the official Bollywood remake of Spanish film Champions.

The movie also features Genelia Deshmukh marking her first onscreen collaboration with Aamir Khan. For the uninitiated, Sitaare Zameen Par revolves around a basketball coach Gulshan Arora who has been given a community service of training a group of intellectually disabled individuals for an upcoming basketball tournament. Interestingly, Sitaare Zameen Part also features Shahani, Gopi Krishnan Varma, Naman Misra, Aroush Datta, Vedant Sharmaa, Samvit Desai, and Aayush Bhansali as Sitaare of the basketball team. According to a report published in Sacnilk, Sitaare Zameen Par has been struggling to mint Rs 30 lakhs in a day in the overseas market. The movie minted Rs 25 lakhs on day 17 (third Sunday) following which the total overseas collection of Sitaare Zameen Par stands at Rs 53.75 crores

On the other hand, the total worldwide collection of Sitaare Zameen Par stands at Rs 231.50 crores after 17 days of release.

Earlier, talking about Sitaare Zameen Par, Aamir stated, "Well, it's a beautiful story. Actually, the easiest way I can describe it is that Taare Zameen Par is a very emotional film which makes you cry. Sitaare Zameen Par makes you laugh, it's a humorous film. The theme is similar, of people with different abilities, different intelligence, or with different challenges. But, it's humour as opposed to emotions".
