Sky Force Advance Booking Collection Day 1: Republic day is around the corner and the Indian film industry is coming with a perfect treat for the fans with Sky Force. Directed by Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani and produced by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik under Maddock Films, Sky Force happens to be an action drama based on a true story. The movie is based on India's retaliatory attack on the Sargodha airbase of Pakistan in the Indo-Pakistani air war of 1965 which happened to be India's first airstrike.
The movie has been one of the most anticipated releases of the year which comes with a stellar cast of Akshay Kumar, Sara Ali Khan, Nimrit Kaur and Veer Pahariya who is making his acting debut with the film. From the cast, to songs and trailer, everything about Sky Force has managed to create a massive buzz in the town. Given the buzz, the makers initiated the advance booking lately and it opened to decent response.

According to a report published in Sacnilk, Sky Force has made a collection of Rs 3.22 crores from advance booking so far. To note, around 1.3 lakhs tickets for over 12 thousand shows in India
Sky Force Beats OMG 2, Creates A Record
Interestingly, with a collection of Rs 3.78 crores from advance booking, Sky Force has managed to beat the advance booking collection of OMG 2 (Rs 3.3 crores). In fact, Sky Force has recorded the fourth highest advance booking collection for Akshay Kumar in 5 years after Sooryavanshi, Samrat Prithviraj and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.
Meanwhile talking about Sky Force, Akshay told HT City, "Everyone declared him (Sqd. Ldr. A.B. Devaiah) a traitor and 23 saal tak kisi ko nahi pata tha that actually he was a hero. The character I play, Wing Commander K.O. Ahuja, based on Group Captain O.P Taneja, is senior to the character Veer plays in the film - T. Vijaya, based on Sqd. Ldr. Devaiah. Aap log vishwas karenge ki 23 saal baad inke parivar ko sarkaar ne maha vir chakra diya? The whole film is not only about war, it is also about what happens to the family and the children left behind".
