Sky Force Box Office Collection Day 1: The Republic Day 2025 is around the corner and Akshay Kumar has come with the perfect patriotic vibe with this recent release. We are talking about Sky Force which also featured Sara Ali Khan, Nimrit Kaur and debutant Veer Pahariya. Directed by Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani, Sky Force is based on India's retaliatory attack on the Sargodha airbase of Pakistan in the Indo-Pakistani air war of 1965 which happened to be India's first airstrike

With an opening day collection of Rs 11.25 crores, Sky Force has recorded the highest opening day collection of the year in Bollywood. So far, Game Changer had made the highest opening day collection of 2025 with an earning of Rs 7.5 crores in the Hindi market.

Interestingly, Sky Force has also emerged as the highest opener for Sara Ali Khan post the pandemic.

Akshay Kumar's 5th Highest Opening Post COVID 19

Sky Force has emerged as the fifth highest opener for Akshay Kumar after the pandemic. The list includes Sooryavanshi (Rs 26.29cr), Bade Miyan Chote Miya (Rs 16.07cr), Ram Setu (Rs 15.25cr) and Bachchhan Paandey (Rs 13.25cr)

Meanwhile talking about Sky Force, Akshay told HT City, "Everyone declared him (Sqd. Ldr. A.B. Devaiah) a traitor and 23 saal tak kisi ko nahi pata tha that actually he was a hero. The character I play, Wing Commander K.O. Ahuja, based on Group Captain O.P Taneja, is senior to the character Veer plays in the film - T. Vijaya, based on Sqd. Ldr. Devaiah. Aap log vishwas karenge ki 23 saal baad inke parivar ko sarkaar ne maha vir chakra diya? The whole film is not only about war, it is also about what happens to the family and the children left behind".
