Sky Force Box Office Collection Day 9: Akshay-Veer’s Film Sees Good Hike; Cross 94Cr On 1st Saturday

Sky Force Box Office Collection Day 9: Akshay Kumar has been making headlines lately for his recent release and we can't keep calm about it. We are talking about Sky Force which is an action drama helmed by Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani features Sara Ali Khan, Nimrat Kaur, Sharad Kelkar and also marks the debut of newcomer Veer Pahariya. In fact, the movie features Akshay playing the role of an Indian air force officer for the first time on the big screen and has been one of the most anticipated releases of the year.

To note, Sky Force is based on India's first airstrike, the Sargodha airbase attack on Pakistan in the Indo-Pakistani air war of 1965. From Akshay's camaraderie with Veer to the latter's chemistry with Sara Ali Khan, patriotic vibes and impressive cast, Sky Force has all the elements to make it the talk of the town. Interestingly, the action drama has been creating records for 2025 ever since it had hit the screens and has started the second week on a good note at the box office.

After witnessing a drop in collections on day 8 (second Friday) wherein it minted Rs 3 crores, Sky Force saw an over 65% hike in collections and raked in Rs 5 crores. This took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 94.5 cores

Sky Force Records Highest 2nd Saturday Collection Of 2025

Interestingly, with a collection of Rs 5 crores Sky Force records the highest second Saturday collection of 2025. It will be interesting to see if Sky Force will continue to fly high in the coming days.

Meanwhile talking about Sky Force, Akshay told HT City, "Everyone declared him (Sqd. Ldr. A.B. Devaiah) a traitor and 23 saal tak kisi ko nahi pata tha that actually he was a hero. The character I play, Wing Commander K.O. Ahuja, based on Group Captain O.P Taneja, is senior to the character Veer plays in the film - T. Vijaya, based on Sqd. Ldr. Devaiah. Aap log vishwas karenge ki 23 saal baad inke parivar ko sarkaar ne maha vir chakra diya? The whole film is not only about war, it is also about what happens to the family and the children left behind".
