Sky Force Box Office Collection Day 3: Akshay Kumar has captured the limelight once again with his latest film, Sky Force, marking his first cinematic venture of the year. This action-packed patriotic drama, which is directed by Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani, draws its inspiration from a significant historical event, specifically India's first airstrike on the Sargodha airbase in Pakistan during the 1965 Indo-Pakistani air war. With a cast that includes Nimrat Kaur, Sara Ali Khan, and Sharad Kelkar, alongside newcomer Veer Pahariya, the film delves into the lives of Indian Air Force officers and their families against the backdrop of war.

Taking a closer look at the narrative, Sky Force unfolds the story with Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya portraying Indian Air Force officers. Their characters are complemented by Nimrat Kaur and Sara Ali Khan, who bring to life the roles of their on-screen wives. Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya starrer Sky Force witnessed a decent start at the box office with an opening day collection of Rs 12.25 crores, followed by a collection of Rs 22 crores on day 2 (first Saturday). The action drama went on to see another upward trend on day 3 (first Sunday) which took the overall collections of the movie to Rs 61.75 crores.

Interestingly, Sky Force saw an impressive opening weekend collection. The action drama minted Rs 49.5 core during its opening weekend and created a record of registering the highest opening weekend of 2025.

Meanwhile talking about Sky Force, Akshay told HT City, "Everyone declared him (Sqd. Ldr. A.B. Devaiah) a traitor and 23 saal tak kisi ko nahi pata tha that actually he was a hero. The character I play, Wing Commander K.O. Ahuja, based on Group Captain O.P Taneja, is senior to the character Veer plays in the film - T. Vijaya, based on Sqd. Ldr. Devaiah. Aap log vishwas karenge ki 23 saal baad inke parivar ko sarkaar ne maha vir chakra diya? The whole film is not only about war, it is also about what happens to the family and the children left behind".
